My name is Carmen, and I am a self-taught photographer who continues to learn and grow. My blog is the place where I document tiny glimpses of my life and the things I encounter in a photographic moment.
When I was a teen, I always carried a disposable camera with me. It was the only thing I could afford at that time and easy to use. I always loved taking pictures and capturing the moment. I was also a teen parent, so it was imperative for me to document my little girl's first years of her life.
A few years ago, I decided to buy my first dslr camera to improve the quality of my photos. Ever since then I've been hooked! There's so much to photography that it can feel overwhelming at times, but I've decided to take it one step at a time and remind myself there's no reason to rush, but to enjoy the journey.
Throughout this lovely journey I have discovered that beauty can be found in the most simplest things. Things that are ordinary become extraordinary with the power of a lens. I love photos that can transport me to another place or another moment in time. I love still life and nature photography. Pastels and vintage pictures are candy to my eyes. How about photographic stories?... Simply beyond words.
